On first appearance you would be forgiven for thinking this toy was just a piece of cheap plastic, which in all honesty is a fair assumption to make. What’s important to remember is this set is designed to be fun to play with, and this it does extremely well going by the feedback of my young ones. I was first struck by the small size of the tower set, expecting it to be much larger once I had delved into the packaging.
Included in the box are welcome accesorries such a fire bucket, stretcher (including dummy), ladder and battering ram. An extra bonus in found with this product is the inclusion of a minature Fireman Sam figurine who is all donned out in his fire rescue gear and breathing apparatus which is really cool. One little cool feature that provided hours of countless entertainment for the kids was the fact that the door at the bottom of the tower can be pushed with force with the included battering ram accessory and falls of in a realistic fashion ( As realistic as it could get if a fireman were to kick a door in!)
In terms of the negative points, there are a few which you may want to take into consideration. As mentioned beforehand, the quality of the tower set is flimsy and made from a light plastic. This couldn’t really be pointed out as a negative point but it is important to note as the tower will often fall over during play due to there being hardly any weight to the Product. The accessories are a cool addition, especially the dummy and fireman sam figurine but its important to remember that Sam can’t hold the bucket or the stretcher which kind of goes against the point of having them in the first place. Last but not least are the attached fire signs, if your child is anything like mine you will find yourself often reattaching the signs as they do come off easily, this can be really frustrating when the whole purpose of such a toy is to kee the child occupied, not you!
On a more positive note the tower training sets out to do what it does very well in keeping young ones entertained. There is no other alternative on the market and this is an official product which you can probably guess is reflected in the price. As well as being fun to play with it can be a an educational tool too, showing young ones what real firemen do on a daily basis which is good. The only toy of it’s kind and fun as well as educational in some manner, what more could you possibly want?
