Suitable for any age from 18 months this electronic toy comes with large bold buttons making it easy for children to interact and participate in the discovery, quiz, music and alphabet games included. Due to the size of the laptop being relatively small it can be carried about anywhere and even comes with a carrying handle for extra convenience. Certainly great value for money and worth considering for making play times more educational.
The laptop is of excellent quality, robust enough as to insure it will last a life time whether it be thrown across the room or repeatedly opened and slammed close. Surprisingly small the fireman sam laptop is lightweight and easy to carry around with it’s included handle and operates on only 2 AA batteries which is a bonus as well as being a money saver in the long run. It is stated on the packaging of the device that it should not be used for children generally under 36 months but I find that recommendation to be slightly exaggerated in my honest opinion. If your child is anywhere between 18 months and upwards then this toy will be fine for safe play.
Included are 4 inbuilt games which are not only fun but educational too with the likes of the music and discovery options being some of the most entertaining options amongst fireman sam fans. There are a variety of easy to push buttons found on the left and right side of the device that activate various sounds and lights based on the adventures that take place in pontypandy village as well as an easy to move slider key to switch between the various inbuilt games included.
An important point to mention is that there are 2 variants of this laptop but both are identical in features with the only difference being in colour. One comes in your classic Sam colours red and yellow with the other coming in a red and blue. The only negative point we could think off in regards to this specific toy was the fact that after continued use with the opening and closing of the lid we found that a small cracked developed along the seam where the lid attached to the base. It’s important to bare in mind it took over 6 months for this crack to appear and in no way did it effect the operation of the device despite the fact it was thrown down a flight of stairs on multiple occasions I would say that is pretty good going!
